3 Days 2 Nights Tanjung Datu National Park
Three days at the edge of Sarawak - deeper into one of Borneo's wildest parks.
What to expect
Day 1
Kuching → Tanjung Datu
0800 pick up and transfer (~2hrs) to Sematan, stopping at Gunung Gading National Park to check for blooming Rafflesia. Take a boat (~30min) to Tanjung Datu National Park, visiting a Malay fishing village en route. Spend the night in an eco jungle hut, with a night walk and beach patrol for nesting turtles. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Summit Trail
Wake to birdsong and breakfast, then a jungle walk on the recommended summit trail through mixed dipterocarp forest, spotting hornbills and wildlife. Trek to the viewpoint and on to the highest summit (~2hrs). Relax for the evening, dinner and watch for nesting turtles. Overnight.
Day 3
Tanjung Datu → Kuching
Breakfast and a final trek to the viewpoint, then pack and transfer by boat with a Malay fishing-village lunch before returning to Kuching.
