3 Days 2 Nights Iban Longhouse Nanga Ukum

Kuching → Longhouse

Depart 0800 by air-conditioned van and visit Semenggoh Nature Reserve for orang utan feeding. Journey 4–5 hours through rural Sarawak with stops at the Serian native market and a pepper garden, lunch en route. At the Batang Ai reservoir, take a longboat (~1.5hrs) upriver to the longhouse. Settle in, dinner and a cultural performance, then relax on the ruai with the Iban community and try tuak. Overnight at the longhouse.

Tutong Waterfall

After breakfast, hike the jungle trails along the river to the scenic Tutong Waterfall - relax, swim, have lunch, explore the rainforest or try Iban-style fishing. Return to the longhouse, dinner with local delicacies, then meet the longhouse community (woven blankets and handicrafts available). Overnight at the longhouse.

Longhouse → Kuching

After breakfast, depart downriver by longboat then overland back to Kuching, with a brief stop en route for lunch. Drop off at the hotel in the late afternoon.
