2 Days 1 Night Iban Longhouse Nanga Ukum

Kuching → Longhouse

Depart 0830 by air-conditioned van and visit Semenggoh Nature Reserve for orang utan feeding. Journey 4–5 hours through rural Sarawak with stops at the colourful Serian native market and a pepper garden, lunch en route. At the Batang Ai reservoir, take a longboat (~1.5hrs) upriver to the longhouse. Settle in, dinner and a cultural performance, then relax on the ruai with the Iban community and try tuak rice wine. Overnight at the longhouse.

Tutong Waterfall → Kuching

After breakfast, the Iban show their skillful blowpipe shooting. Hike the jungle trails along the river upriver to a scenic spot for a picnic lunch - relax, swim, explore the rainforest or try Iban-style fishing. Return downriver by longboat then overland to Kuching, dropping off in the late evening.
